Car industry: The first hungarian steam car was built by György Preiner, in 1875, the first 4 stroke engine was built by Janos Csonka, in 1883, the first petrol engine drived Tricikli and the first bus were launched in 1900. The mass production of cars began in 1905.
In the year 2008 more than 100 thousend people work in hungarian car industry, average wage is 700 EUR monthly in this sector. Based on 2007, this sector accounts for 14% of 2650 billions HUF domestic industry and for one-quarter of total export of the country.
